I was a dreamy kid growing up in the Santa Barbara foothills, taking note, even then, of color and light unique to that place. My procession now, as a painter in oils is to work primarily in the field. My exploration of our foothills, beaches and Channel Islands deepens the challenge to be present and true to what the day and place present.
